CIRCA art actuel
The Centre d’exposition Circa was founded in 1988. Since it opened, it has presented over 165 solo, duo and group exhibitions and shown the work of over 400 artists. Circa’s main focus is the dissemination of sculpture and installation. In addition to its exhibitions and regular programming, the Centre has organized numerous important events and exchanges notably with Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Austria, Spain, France and within Canada. These regular exchanges are meant to facilitate contacts ensuring plurality, accessibility and a spirit of research and experimentation and testify to Circa’s importance on Canada’s contemporary visual art scene. Circa aims to present a program without compromises that attracts by its quality and diversity not only an important specialized clientele but also a wider public open to new knowledge and appreciation of contemporary art.
