The GEORGES-LAOUN-OPTICIEN-OBORO 2013 Super Short Film Prize – He shoots, he scores!

Making good use of their shared neighbourhood and common patronage of the arts, Georges Laoun Opticien and OBORO have come together to create this prize. Four finalists will receive $100 in cash, and the winner will be offered a prize of $500 in cash and $1500 of access to OBORO’s New Media Lab equipment and studios. Georges Laoun Opticien was awarded the 2010 prix Art-Affaires by the Montreal Arts Council for the involvement in this project. We are thrilled that this collaboration is still going strong!

The finalists to the GEORGES-LAOUN-OPTICIEN-OBORO-Super-Short-Film prize are:

Guillaume Adjutor Provost
Pierre Blache
Robert Chayer
Garry-Lewis James Osterberg
Chris Lloyd

All of november 2013, the five finalists’ videos will be screened in the storefront of Georges Laoun Opticien located at 4012 Saint-Denis Street in Montréal, in the purpose of bringing new media art into the community of the Plateau Mont-Royal. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, November 19, at 5 pm on the premises of the Georges Laoun Opticien boutique located at 4012 Saint-Denis (corner of Duluth). The finalist videos will be shown there until December 2, 2013.
